Throught the efforts of Arch Mission Foundation, a fragment of Williamson’s artistic vision is set to be archived in the Permanent Lunar Archive, joining a collection of human heritage that will be preserved on the surface of the Moon in late 2025. One of only a few such lucky artists to have art on the moon!
**Artist Statement**In my art, I explore the dynamic interplay of color, sound, and perception. I aim to create pieces that evoke deep emotions and immerse you in a sensory journey. Starting from scratch, I use a minimalist palette and a combination of techniques—layering, sanding, grinding, and careful brushwork—to bring out an inner light and let each painting tell its story. I love how this process offers a moment for reflection, where you can see the subtle dance of colors and textures. These compositions balance precision and spontaneity, often hinting at landscapes while remaining abstract. I collaborate with musicians often to elevate the visual experience, blending sight and sound to transform how the artwork is perceived. Step closer, listen closely, and see where it takes you. TODD "Williamson’s large-scale paintings feel nearly monolithic in their physicality and the sheer weight of their presence." by Eve Wood, Artillery Magazine, Jan 5, 2021 "Abstract works of remarkable gestural power scattered around the chapel, even on the altar. Phrases from famous people accompany the works as engravings on black plates. words, tweets, and posts extrapolated from their speeches, written in Latin as messages of prophets, letters, and testimonies that thus take on even deeper importance." by Antonio Conte, Il Mondo Disuk, Nov 12, 2019
