Todd Williamson lives and works in Los Angeles. His work has been exhibited around the world and is collected by some of the top collectors and museums. Todd’s guitar is a tribute to the great influence of the British bands and singers that have influenced him over the years.
GIBSON GUITARTOWN ON THE SUNSET STRIP launched in August 2010 featuring more than 20, 10-foot-tall fiberglass Gibson Les Paul model guitars strategically placed on the legendary Sunset Strip. Each guitar sculpture celebrated a musician, personality or artist unique to The Sunset Strip’s history. As intended, the 24 guitars were #auctioned off this past December 2011 after their yearlong “tour” with 100% of the profits going to charity. The #publicart project is now in its second phase with the first nine of 20 guitars-on exhibition throughout The Strip now, including works from renowned artists #ShepardFairey, Tristan Eaton, #Risk, #FreeHumanity, Smog City and DeeKay, and celebrates top musicians, including Van Halen, Rage Against The Machine and Jane’s Addiction, among others. The additional nine guitars will be on display at the August 18 Sunset Strip Music Festival street fest and will be placed on public display following the festival at the end of August.

Gibson GuitarTown on The Sunset Strip is supported by the Sunset Strip Business Association, Gibson Guitar, Hornburg Land Rover on The Sunset Strip, City of West Hollywood and the West Hollywood Marketing & Visitors Bureau. All art guitars were created by local and nationally recognized artists and celebrate people and places that have shaped The Strip. As with the first two exhibits, these guitars will eventually be #auctioned with proceeds benefiting charity. The August 3 unveiling is hosted by Hornburg Los Angeles on The Sunset Strip and Jack Daniel’s.
